SmallBizKaizen Privacy and Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This policy explains how SmallBizKaizen.com collects and uses personal information and how we use cookies and similar technologies.

Who is responsible

GKF Media is responsible for the personal information processed through SmallBizKaizen.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact smallbizkaizen@amejl.se.

Contacting us

When you contact us by email or through a contact form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address and message. Our contact forms use SureForms. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and handle related correspondence. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running the website. Where your enquiry concerns a contract, processing may instead be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into that contract or to perform it. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to handle the matter, unless a legal obligation or a legal claim requires longer retention. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address and any name you provide to send the updates you requested. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by emailing us. We do not track individual newsletter opens or link clicks. Newsletter records are kept while you remain subscribed. Limited subscription and consent records may be retained for up to 24 months after you unsubscribe to document your preferences and handle related enquiries. We may retain the minimum information needed to ensure that you are not added back to the mailing list unintentionally. Our legitimate interest in respecting your preferences and documenting consent is the basis for this limited retention.

Hosting and security logs

The website and newsletter services are hosted with Inleed. Technical logs may include your IP address, the time of your visit, requested pages and browser information. These logs are used to operate the website, investigate errors and protect against misuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functioning website. Inleed may retain server logs for up to 12 months.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage for essential website functions and, with your permission, analytics. Essential storage includes remembering your privacy choice. Your consent preference is stored locally in your browser for 180 days. Optional analytics is not loaded unless you select Accept analytics. If you reject analytics, analytics tracking is not loaded. You can change or withdraw your choice through the website’s cookie settings. You can also delete cookies and website storage through your browser settings. Deleting your saved preference will cause the website to ask for your choice again. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, including which pages they visit, how they arrive and which types of devices they use. The legal basis is your consent. Google Analytics is connected through Google Site Kit. User and event data retention is set to two months. This setting does not determine how long every analytics cookie lasts or how long aggregated reports remain available. Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. Site Kit also connects Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights to help us monitor search visibility and website performance. For information about Google’s processing, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Affiliate links and advertising

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you follow one of these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. We identify affiliate relationships where relevant. The destination website or affiliate network may process information about your visit or purchase under its own privacy and cookie policies. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own policies. We do not currently use Google AdSense.

Service providers and international processing

We use service providers, including Inleed and Google, to host the website, deliver newsletters and provide analytics. They receive information needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Using Google services may involve processing outside the EU or EEA. Applicable transfer arrangements are described in Google’s information about international data transfers. You may contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of information you have provided. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise your rights, email smallbizkaizen@amejl.se. We may need information to verify your identity before handling your request. You have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). You can read more about your data protection rights on IMY’s website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or data handling practices change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
